Music & Media Arts Ministry
The Music Ministry of CLG seeks to enable all people to experience the manifest presence of God through worship, praise and the arts.
The following groups serve in Music Ministry:
SANCTUARY CHOIR
The main function of the Sanctuary Choir is to serve as a large group of worship leaders whose role is to worship God, exalt Christ, and lead others to do the same. We do not function to simply sing a special piece each week. Rather, we seek to lead others into God’s presence and prepare the hearts of the congregation to receive God’s Word.
CELEBRATION CHOIR
The main function of the Celebration Choir is to serve as a large group of worship leaders (ages 14-21) whose role is to worship God, exalt Christ, and lead others to do the same. We seek to lead others into God’s presence and prepare the hearts of the congregation to receive God’s Word. Our desire is also to reach our generation with the gospel of Christ through song.
CHILDREN'S CHOIR
The main function of the Children’s Choir is to serve as a large group of children (ages 5-13) who release “perfected praise” unto our God. We also desire to reach fellow kids with the gospel of Christ through song and help take the gospel to friends, family, and community.
PRAISE TEAM
The praise team is an extension of the Sanctuary Choir that helps lead the congregation in praise and worship during all church services. The main function of the singers on the team is to stand before the congregation as a visual inspiration to worship. Everything about their attitude and countenance must celebrate Christ Jesus and encourage the congregation to do the same.
WORSHIP CHORALE
The main function of the singers on the worship team is to stand before the congregation as a visual inspiration to worship. Everything about our attitude and countenance must celebrate Christ Jesus and encourage the congregation to do the same. Our main duty is to radiate the joy and peace of Christ. This group is geared specifically towards young adults (ages 21-35).
PERFORMING ARTS- DANCE TEAM
The function of the dance team is to use their bodies as a visual of praise and worship to the Lord. Their prayer is that the power of movement will minister God's love, forgiveness, and power to all those present.
SOUND/TECH TEAM
The main function of the media team and projectionists is to provide support to the Music ministry and the church as a whole by helping to create an atmosphere wherein Christ Jesus can be worshipped. They are also to ensure that the worship service is conducted in decency and order so as to not disrupt the flow of the Spirit of God.
